Before the training I had a exchange in Blackpool with Elder Helzer from Germany . He is a very loving trainer and does his best to be a good district leader as well. Together we saw miracles that day. Because some appointments fell through we had the change to knock by some potential investigators. One of them is Matthew, he was truly prepared by the Lord to accept the restoration in his life. He disagreed with a view points of his church and his heart was open to receive our message. We all feld the Spirit very strong as we went through the first lesson. He wanted to read the book of Mormon and wanted to come to church as well.
When I got back in Lancaster we went to see David. He is baptised but not yet confirmed. We taught him what the priesthood is together with 3 YSA members. David didn't felt really good the last couple of days so we gave him a blessing. This was the first time for me giving a blessing for some one's health. It was a very good experience for me and I and everyone else in the room could feel the Spirit. David got confirmed last Sunday which was a very happy moment for all of us. We can see that David feels at home in the Lancaster ward with all the YSA's who also study here in Lancaster .
This week we also found two Charlotte 's, they are friends and we taught them both. One of them did pray before and read some parts of the bible while the other did not. They both feld the spirit as we prayed and used the SPIRIT-formula as we shared Josephs experience. They both wanted to be baptised although their currant life is very different. Unfortunately they didn't came to church last Sunday but we'll make some fried rice for them tomorrow and I'm sure that they both will come next week after we taught them a little more.
An other miracle which happens yesterday was that we had two lessons on the spot, both through our weekly focus. Our weekly focus this week was to specifically look for curtain people like people with hats or earphones. This Sunday was to look for people with earphones, that evening we had two lessons on the spot with two girls with earphones. They both where excited to hear more and one of them excepted the baptism invitations.
Groetjes!
