Week 1 (2 t/m 8 januari)

This week, Elder Raybould got a dream in which he heard "westminster". When we looked on the map where there is a Westminster road and it appeared that there is a Westminster drive in the area where our bishop wanted us to focus on. When we went tracting on that road a lady opened the door, when see saw who we are see went back to get her husband. He told us that they've been taught before by a american Elder from California and a German elder on which we responded that Elder Raybould is origanally from California and that my parents live in Germany. Full of suprisement he then explained that three weeks ago he feld inspired to read the book of mormon. He found it on the internet and has been reading a chapter every day for three weeks! He didn't know why he had to read it but he just did it. He also said that he wanted to get in contact with the church but that he did not know how to do that. We then explained the reason why we were on this road and we were all standing amazed and astonished. We all felt and knew that this was not an accident that we met. We made an appointment for this thursday, I cant wait to see them!

This weekly focus was to read chapters about Christ and the atonement and I read some of the talks in the blue binder about Christ and the atonement which made my appreciation for the atonement increase and I got a better understanding about it. Later on, we taught Steve, our progressing investigator again. We taught him about faith and repentance. During that lesson I was able to explain repentance much better because I studied the atonement so much. The Spirit filled us all during the lesson and I could feel that Steve in reality did understand what repentance is all about.

After a lesson with Louise, a recent convert, we we're just talking with our fellowshipper about how the lesson went when suddenly we saw a lady screaming with a man in black who was trying to get away with something. When we got nearer we saw that the man was stealing the dog of Louise who we just taught! The man, who is her ex, claimed that the dog was his and Louise said it was hers while they were struggling the dog! Their screams got the attention from some neighbours who called the police for the dogs sake who was getting struggled. After less than two minutes there were four cops! Eventually the dog went to Louise because she had prove that the dog was living on her adress and one of the neighbours gave her witness about what just happened.

Ik had het het liefst in het nederlands willen sturen maar heb er gewoon geen tijd voor.
